Letter: A job is the way to pay rent

A very interesting headline in The Columbian: “Many wonder how to pay rent as end of eviction moratorium looms” (The Columbian, Oct. 17). Maybe people with that problem should read the article the previous week: “Companies scraping for staff ahead of the holidays” (Associated Press, Oct. 13). There were 10.4 million jobs available at the end of August.

They might consider just taking a walk or drive down any street in any city and see the “Help Wanted” signs, or see the ads on TV, the radio and want ads in the papers.

This is the answer to their problem
