Letter: Bad drivers all over town

By Edward Barnes, Vancouver

Drivers Gone Wild, and nuttier by the second. Posted speed limits are the maximum, not minimum, and not 5 to 25 mph over.

Running stop signs and red flashing lights, passing on double yellow lines, turn lanes and safety lanes on the highway, on Interstates 5 and 205 from the fairgrounds to the bridges. People aren’t paying attention in parking lots either. Flashing their lights and honking their horns. They need to get a baby pacifier and suck on it. Big trucks, cars, vans, delivery trucks, buses — all of them! I thought people in red and white cars were crazy, but it’s 80 percent of the drivers. Highway 500 is the first 80 mph freeway in Clark County. Possible solutions: rumble strips, traffic bumps and photo enforcement.
