Letter: Congressional censure warranted

By David Bennett, Vancouver
Published: November 28, 2021, 6:00am

Recently the House voted to censure Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., because he tweeted a cartoon video of himself killing a Democratic colleague, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and attacking President Joe Biden. Only two Republicans voted with the Democrats in favor of the censure. Unfortunately, our representative, Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, was not one of those Republicans.

How would Herrera Beutler feel if a fellow representative tweeted a death threat to her? It appears that Herrera Beutler has lost her moral compass.
