Letter: Nobody forced to get vaccine

To Bob Staples, author of “Respect the right to refuse vaccine” (Our Readers’ Views, Nov. 19): Who are you arguing with? No one is being forced to get vaccinated. They can freely choose not to. Unvaccinated people just can’t keep working in their same jobs without reasonable accommodation, and if they can’t be accommodated, they’re free to look for a job that better fits their vaccine status.

How are their rights being infringed on? Is there a clause in the Constitution that says people have a right to keep their jobs no matter what? Wouldn’t that infringe on the freedom of business owners to employ who they want to?

I invite you to reread your Nov. 19 letter and figure out what you were actually trying to say.
