Madeline Johnson scored on a header off a corner kick from Maya Parman in the 22nd minute, and the Papermakers made that stand up for 1-0 win over Prairie in a 4A/3A Greater St. Helens League girls soccer match Monday in Camas.

The Papermakers controlled play most of the match, peppering the Prairie goal with shots in the second half.

But the Falcons defense and goalkeeper Lille Amies kept Camas from adding on. Amies finished with 12 saves.

That required the Papermakers to fend off some late pushes from the Falcons to secure the victory.
