Dalton Beassie’s 2-yard touchdown run and the ensuing two-point conversion was all the offense the Beavers needed to earn their first win of the season.

Beassie, who rushed 21 times for 104 yards, scored shortly after a blocked punt set Woodland up with great field position in the first quarter.

R.A. Long scored just before halftime after a bad snap on a punt gave the Lumberjacks the ball deep in Woodland territory. Jamond Harris rushed for a 15-yard touchdown inside the final minute.

Woodland improved to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the 2A Greater St. Helens League. R.A. Long fell to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in league play.
