Letter: Camas paying the piper

By Shirley A. Roberts, Vancouver

The Columbian informed us that needed infrastructure upkeep and repairs were ignored until now it will require an extra huge amount to just determine how to proceed (“Camas officials tackle delayed repairs, maintenance at city’s aging facilities,” Oct. 3). Just another example of the foolishness of refusing to pay taxes to maintain our towns. Too bad that inept politicians that use no new taxes keep getting elected. Prudent folks would have saved money by keeping things in good repair knowing that the piper always demands payment. Too bad you have so few prudent folks.
