Letter: Support LaBrant for port

Since 2013, my husband and I have attended most of the commission meetings at the Port of Vancouver. For the last six years, we’ve witnessed thoughtful leadership by Commissioner Eric LaBrant.

Ever since he helped defeat the oil terminal in 2018, business at the port has consistently improved, even setting records during the pandemic.

As commissioner, Eric LaBrant will continue working to protect jobs, clean air and water, and our quality of life.

I urge you to also vote to elect Kim Harless and Diana Perez to the Vancouver City Council for those very same reasons.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
