CAMAS — Lara Blair Photography recently completed The Pivot Project celebrating Camas business owners who have survived the pandemic. For three days, Blair captured black and white images of business owners and their teams in her Camas studio. Each business owner completed a form explaining the pivots they made to survive and thrive during a precarious time for retail and restaurants.

“I’m amazed by the community spirit in our downtown and I wanted to showcase it with the faces and stories of this challenging time. We persevered and prevailed, and I’m very proud to be a part of this main street!” Blair said.

The portraits and accompanying stories will be displayed in an exhibit at Nuestra Mesa restaurant in downtown Camas from 3 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. The event will be open to the public.
