A California man died Tuesday at a Vancouver hospital after crashing his motorcycle Sunday evening into a concrete barrier on southbound Interstate 205 near Exit 30, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Fatu Eseroma, 61, of Carson, Calif., lost control on a curve while exiting state Highway 500 and crashed his Kawasaki Ninja 300 into a barrier to the left of the highway, according to the State Patrol.

Eseroma was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he later died.

The State Patrol’s crash memo lists speeding as the cause. The memo states Eseroma was wearing a helmet.
