On Aug. 26, the same day that 13 U.S. military members were killed in Iraq, former President Trump said Osama Bin Laden was no big deal, he only had “one hit.”
Bin Laden’s “one hit” on Sept. 11, 2001, and the resulting wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, have cost nearly 3,000 U.S. civilian, 7,000 U.S. military and nearly 7,600 U.S. contractors deaths, along with the thousands of Iraqi and Afghan civilians killed and maimed.
The monetary cost of these two wars is over $4 trillion.
Trump’s flippant “one hit” answer makes me ashamed to call him an American, much less a former president.
