The Skyview Storm turned two fumble recoveries into 14 quick first-quarter points and cruised from there, defeating Battle Ground 51-6 in a 4A Greater St. Helens League matchup Friday at District Stadium in Battle Ground.

The Storm (2-0) enjoyed tremendous field position on their first three drives, starting from the Battle Ground 16, two and one-yard lines respectively.

Two touchdown runs by Jaydin Knapp and a touchdown pass from Niko Arriola to Riley Artis gave Skyview a commanding lead it would never surrender.

Knapp scored three touchdowns in all. Arriola threw a touchdown pass to both Artis and Tanner Beaman and Jalen Salavea added a 62-yard interception return.

Battle Ground (0-1, 0-2) scored its first points of the season in the fourth quarter on a nine-yard pass from Kaden Humphrey to Cassius Davis.

Next week the Storm plays host to Sunnyside in a non-league tilt at Kiggins Bowl while the Tigers face Prairie at Memorial Stadium.
