Letter: Redefine medical priorities

I am appalled every time I see a story of someone legitimately in need of medical care being denied access to an ER or hospital or being released early because of the number of unvaccinated COVID-19 patients. Why are individuals unwilling to take care of themselves and protect others given priority treatment?

Medical staffs are frustrated and overwhelmed by the unvaccinated. Nearly 100 percent of COVID cases could have avoided hospitalization with vaccinations. Perhaps a solution is to have all unvaccinated patients placed in a tent or other facility, freeing up hospital beds. They could even be cared for by those who received their medical expertise via social media.

Let’s redefine our medical priorities.
