Letter: Dems should play hardball

Seldom do I ever disagree with Eugene Robinson. But in “Court’s partisan side showing,” he is not looking far enough down the road, (Dems have trouble doing this but the GOP does this with aplomb; witness how they stacked the court, a decades-long plan).

Democrats must first and foremost add some justices to the court. Any laws passed by this Congress concerning voting rights or reproductive rights will be overturned by the lifetime appointed majority of partisan hacks that now rule over a majority of Americans in this Supreme Court. These hacks know that the GOP billionaire dark money donors got them their jobs, and they are to be rewarded.

Democrats must start playing hardball and not waste time and good will passing laws that the Supreme Court will overturn.
