Ridgefield’s Josie Rinta voted Northwest Personal Training Week 2 prep athlete of the week

Rinta receives 321 votes to beat out Madison Wick of Mountain View

Josie Rinta of Ridgefield girls soccer is the Northwest Personal Training Week 2 high school athlete of the week.

Rinta received 321 votes to outdistance Madison Wick of Mountain View girls swimming.

Rinta had nine saves in a scoreless draw the Spudders won on PKs, and added seven saves in a 1-0 win over Columbia River.

Here are the nominees:

LAUREN DREVES, COLUMBIA RIVER VOLLEYBALL: Dreves had 18 kills, six digs and an ace in a win over R.A. Long.

ASHLEY GRIFFITH, UNION SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL: Griffith went 8 for 11 with three doubles, 3 RBI and and eight runs in three wins for the Titans.

ELI HUNTINGTON, CAMAS BOYS GOLF: Huntington posted a pair of 4-under-par rounds at Camas Meadows in wins over Columbia River and Ridgefield.

MADISON WICK, MOUNTAIN VIEW GIRLS SWIMMING: Wick was the top-scoring individual at the Mark Morris Sprint Pentathlon, winning the 25 individual medley, 25 butterfly and 100 backstroke and finishing second in the 500 freestyle.
