Non-league football: Friday Harbor 39, Seton Catholic 32

Seton Catholic was in this game to the end before falling short to Friday Harbor 39-32 in the non-league contest played at Kings High School in Shoreline.

Seton (1-3) took a 26-25 lead into the fourth quarter.

Friday Harbor (2-2) scored on the first possession of the fourth on a 4-yard sweep, but the point-after run failed making the score 31-26.

The Cougars answered on their first possession of the fourth with a 63-yard touchdown drive capped by a 39-yard TD pass play. They also failed on a two-point try but had the lead at 32-31 with 9:05 to play.

Friday Harbor took the lead for good at 39-32 with 5:24 remaining on a long TD run and two-point pass conversion.

Seton had two more possessions. The first ended quickly with a fumble. The second drive went 45 yards over the last 54 seconds, but the last two pass attempts toward the end zone fell incomplete as time expired.
