Crews dispatched at 7:45 p.m. to the 5100 block of Laframbois Road found a single vehicle had crashed into a tree, pinning the single occupant inside, according to a fire department statement.

Seven firefighters worked for about 30 minutes, cutting the doors off the vehicle, in order to reach the passenger and remove them from the vehicle so they could be transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, the statement said.

Details about the type of vehicle or the identity of the driver were not released.

The crash is under investigation by the Vancouver Police Department, the statement said.
