The city of Vancouver is hosting three community forums next week with the finalists for the next police chief.

Candidates will speak about the future of public safety in Vancouver, address community priorities identified in a recent police chief survey and respond to community members’ questions, according to a city news release. People can submit questions online at beheardvancouver.org/police-chief or at the events.

The forums are scheduled:

  • 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 3 at the Bates Center for Educational Leadership, 2921 Falk Road in Vancouver.

Spanish and Russian interpretation will be available.

  • 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 4 at the C-Tran Administrative Building, 10600 N.E. 51st Circle in Vancouver. American Sign Language interpretation will be available. It will also be broadcast on CVTV Channel 23/323HD and the CVTC Facebook page.
  • 8:30 to 10 a.m. May 5 by invitation only at the Greater Vancouver Chamber. Spanish and Russian interpretation will be available.
