Educational Service District #112’s Steve Wrightson is set to retire after 18 years of service on the district’s board of directors.

Wrightson, a former Clark County fire chief, previously served as board president from 2012 to 2015 and more recently served on the Association of Educational Service District’s executive board from 2020 to 2021. As the director representing District 3, Wrightson primarily served the Hockinson School District and parts of Evergreen Public Schools and Battle Ground Public Schools.

“Steve is a true community servant, and we have appreciated the many years he has given to the ESD 112 Board,” Tim Merlino, superintendent of ESD 112, said in a press release Wednesday. “Steve’s advocacy for our local schools and ESD programs will be greatly missed.”

ESD 112 is actively recruiting Wrightson’s replacement and anticipates that a new board member will be appointed by its May 24 meeting.
