A man shot at a vehicle driving recklessly Sunday afternoon in the St. John’s neighborhood, but he left before Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrived.

Deputies responded at about 2:15 p.m. to the area of Northeast 49th Street and 44th Avenue for a disturbance with weapons. Callers reported someone was driving recklessly in the neighborhood when a man came outside and shot at the vehicle, according to an agency news release.

When deputies arrived, the man and the vehicle were gone. Deputies found evidence of a shooting but did not find anyone injured in the area.

The sheriff’s office’s Major Crime Unit is investigating.
