Searchers looking for a missing Vancouver man found a body Tuesday morning in a wooded area northeast of Lacamas Lake.

The Clark County Sheriff Office’s Search and Rescue were looking in the area for 44-year-old Kevin Osterkamp, who has been missing since late June.

Crews had been searching the area for four days before finding the remains about a half mile from where Osterkamp’s pickup truck had been found abandoned at Lacamas Regional Park.

The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the identity of remains, which Vancouver police said were found in a densely vegetated area between the Lacamas Heritage Trail and Lacamas Creek.

Vancouver police do not suspect foul play in the death. The Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm cause and manner of death.
