Former NFL linebacker Thomas R. Williams, now a motivational speaker and author, will give a presentation tailored toward student athletes and their families at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Ridgefield High School Performing Arts Center, 2630 S. Hillhurst Road.

Williams’ presentation, “Play for the Name on the Front of the Jersey, Represent the Name on the Back,” will focus on team-building and winning habits for young athletes. The one-hour presentation is free to the public.

Williams played five seasons in the NFL and won two collegiate national championships with the University of Southern California.
