Vancouver shooting leaves man wounded

A 34-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds Sunday night in central Vancouver.

Vancouver police responded at 9:07 p.m. to Northeast 62nd Avenue and Fourth Plain Boulevard for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found the man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, according to an agency news release. Police provided medical aid until paramedics arrived and took the victim to an area hospital. His condition was unknown.

The Vancouver police Major Crime Unit and Safe Streets Taskforce are investigating and currently have no suspect information.

Police have not released any information about what led up to the shooting.
