Vancouver police are investigating a shooting that occurred in a local backyard before dawn on Sunday.

Police were called at 4:26 a.m. to the backyard of a house in the 6900 block of Carolina Lane, in the Vancouver Heights.

Apparently a group of people were in the yard when a stranger walked up and opened fire, police said. Three people, all males, were injured. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

No suspect description was given, and no arrests have been made, police said. The Major Crimes Team is investigating.
