Letter: Nothing to fear here

I don’t understand why Greg Jayne is so worried about Joe Kent possibly winning the 3rd District race (“Kent, GOP playing with fire,” The Columbian, Aug. 14). If you are a white Christian who can follow orders, then you should have no problem. You get bonus points if you have a large truck, a huge Trump flag, and an arsenal of military-grade weapons. We don’t need a moderate actually trying to solve problems for constituents. We need someone who will try to reverse the 2020 election and stroke Donald Trump’s ego. Joe can help make this election and 2024 the very last ones we’ll ever need.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
