KALAMA — Luke Davidson was surprised to see how much of what he learned in high school chemistry was put into practice at a chemical manufacturing plant.

Davidson, who is entering his junior year at Kalama High School, had a summer internship at LANXESS’s Emerald Kalama Chemical plant at the Port of Kalama.
