PORTLAND — One man was shot and killed and another was shot and expected to survive on Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Portland, police said.
The Portland Police Bureau said in news release that Portland police responded shortly before 4 p.m. to the incident reported near Southeast 119th Avenue and Stark Street.
Police said officers found one man dead and found the second man about a block away. He was taken to a hospital. No arrests have been made.
Kim Bessette-Martinez told The Oregonian/OregonLive she was driving on Stark Street when she saw a crash and “a man running in the street.”
.The incident comes after 10 people were fatally shot in January in Portland.
