Led by Giovanny Evanson’s 22 points and 10 rebounds, King’s Way Christian topped Tenino 46-39 and moved one step closer to securing a Class 1A regional playoff berth.

Despite an 0-for-20 night from behind the 3-point line, the Knights did plenty of damage in the paint and jumped out to an 18-9 lead after the first quarter.

Jamison Duke added 14 points for King’s Way, which will play host to Trico League foe Castle Rock on Saturday in the District 4 semifinals. The winner of that game earns an automatic regional bid.
