Kylee Stephens, Gianna D’Emilio lead La Center girls to a rout of Elma

Kylee Stephens had 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists and six steals as the La Center girls basketball team used a big second quarter to pull away from Elma 55-22 in a 1A district first-round game Friday.

The Wildcats outscored Elma 17-0 in the second quarter to take a 33-10 halftime lead.

Gianna D’Emilio added 19 points, 10 rebounds and six steals for the Wildcats, who will host Tenino in the district semifinals on Tuesday.
