ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida’s Logan Allen may only be a senior in high school, but already this star has some impressive credits to his name, including a starring role in Netflix’s “Sweet Magnolias,” which debuted its second season last week.
But outside his life as a professional actor, he’s also just trying to finish his last year of high school and working toward graduation. “I can see the finish line!” he says. And that’s definitely a good thing, as Allen, 17, has a full schedule these days.
Returning to the role of Kyle in “Sweet Magnolias” was a great experience for Allen, even though the pandemic made shooting the second season more of a challenge. “I was kind of worried going back because that was my first time shooting in the pandemic, so I didn’t know what to expect,” Allen said, adding, “But everyone was so nice we picked up right where we left off.”
Allen knew from a young age that he wanted to be an actor. As a child, he starred in commercials for TruMoo, Universal Orlando and Volcano Bay. He was a series regular on the Nickelodeon TV show “Talia in the Kitchen” as Vinnie and played the role of Kevin Ryan in the film “Bernie the Dolphin.”
