Nominees for Northwest Personal Training Week 19 prep athlete of the week

Voting continues through 7 p.m. Wednesday

Here are the nominees for the Northwest Personal Training Week 18 high school athlete of the week.

Voting will continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday, with results announced in Thursday’s edition of The Columbian.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

To avoid vote manipulation, voters must provide an email address. Votes are limited to one per day per email address.

Here are the nominees:

JEFFREY CHILSON, MOUNTAIN VIEW BOYS WRESTLING: The sophomore captured the title a 138 pounds with three pins at the regional meet at Eastside Catholic.

LIAM NOFTSKER, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS SWIMMING: Noftsker captured district titles in the 100-yard freestyle (49.23) and 100 backstroke (54.16) at the 2A district meet.

SAVEA MANSFIELD, WASHOUGAL GIRLS BASKETBALL: Mansfield had 45 points, 12 steals, 11 rebounds and eight assists in two wins for the Panthers, including a playoff win.

BRYSON METZ, UNION BOYS BASKETBALL: Metz scored 21, 19 and 21 points in three games and eclipsed 1,000 points for his career.

FAITH TARRANT, PRAIRIE GIRLS WRESTLING: The freshman scored two wins by pin then captured the 235-pound division title with a 2-1 win over Jaelyn Saylor of Skyview.
