Clark Public Utilities announced this week the opening of an online marketplace where customers can buy Enel X JuiceBox electric vehicle chargers with an instant $500 rebate.

The utility’s rebate program is not limited to Enel X branded residential electric vehicle chargers, but the other brands do require a form to be submitted to the utility.

“This partnership enables us to offer our customers a leading smart (electric vehicle) charging solution that significantly improves the benefits and convenience of owning an electric vehicle,” said Matt Babbitts of Clark Public Utilities in a statement to the press.

Providing greater access to electric vehicles is an important goal for the utility, read the press release, as part of Clark Public Utilities’ commitment to meet the Clean Energy Transformation Act, which requires Washington to use 100 percent clean electricity by 2045. The law also includes provisions for affordability and reliability so all utility customers can benefit from using clean energy.

To learn more about the utility’s electric vehicle program and see a list of eligible products, visit clarkpublicutilities.com. There is also a $100 rebate available for non-connected chargers. Each home is qualified to receive a rebate on up to two chargers.

The name of the Enel X JuiceBox chargers was corrected in this story.
