Hockinson’s Liam Dunn posted the second-best time in the 50-freestyle and will be the top-seeded local swimmer at Saturday’s finals at the 2A state boys swimming championships at Federal Way.

Dunn swam the 50 free in 22.36 seconds, more than a half-second off his pre-meet seed time of 22.94. He was only outpaced Friday by Charles Hudson’s of Selah, who finished in 21.97. Fort Vancouver’s Tarik Kurta is the No. 4 seed in the 50 free (22.62).

Dunn’s teammate Parker Dangleis advanced to the championship finals in two events — the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Dangleis is seeded sixth in the 200 free (1:49.00) and fourth in the 100 free (49.20).

Columbia River’s Liam Noftsker is seeded just ahead of Dangleis in the 100 free (3rd, 48.46). Noftsker is also seeded third in the 100 backstroke (54.43). Dunn is seeded sixth in the 100 back (55.80).

Hockinson also qualified for the championship finals in the 400 free relay (7th, 3:34.39).
