Letter: Abandoned RVs an embarrassment

By Jason Smith, VANCOUVER
Published: February 18, 2022, 6:00am

How long will the city of Vancouver tolerate the abandoned RVs on the city’s waterfront? One abandoned RV, which is missing a rear tire, has sat dormant on Columbia Way for many weeks. Are the registered owners of this vehicle being held accountable? Is the solution just to leave it to rot along one of the city’s most prized and popular walking paths?

I wonder if it this would be allowed if it were abandoned in front of City Hall or in the paid parking lots surrounding the city’s new waterfront commercial developments.

What an embarrassment for Vancouver.
