Beacock Music Company has named Ryan Smith as vice president. Smith has been with the Vancouver-headquartered company since 2002. He was previously general manager in charge of business development. Beacock Music Company was founded in 1976 by the Beacock family. They currently own and operate the Vancouver location as well as two stores located in Eugene and Corvallis, Ore.

The Building Industry Association of Clark County is pleased to announce the promotion of Justin Wood from government affairs coordinator to government affairs manager.

Wood has been on staff at the association for 2.5 years, originally hired as membership assistant, moved up to government affairs coordinator in April of 2021, and now recently promoted to government affairs manager. A graduate of Camas High School, Wood went on to graduate with honors from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in public affairs. He has worked in both the private and public sectors, including a Washington State Legislative internship and administrator for the Responsible Growth Forum.

Wood will oversee the association’s advocacy efforts, including the maintenance and growth of relationships with government officials, oversee the government affairs committee, and is charged with representing and protecting industry interests.

Carol Aaron, a member of the PeaceHealth Board of Directors since joining in January 2021, has been named vice chair of the PeaceHealth board.

With a deeply held commitment to community health, Aaron’s passion for organizational and talent development is backed by her experience working with high-performing teams in not-for-profit health systems.

Aaron retired in 2019 after more than 30 years of health care experience, most recently serving as executive vice president, chief administrative officer at PeaceHealth. In addition to her service with PeaceHealth, she also held executive leadership roles at St. Joseph Health System and Sutter Health.

Helping launch initiatives to improve governance, leadership and organizational development to advance a culture of high engagement in the communities she served, Aaron will step into the vice chair role.

Jary Martinson, branch manager at the Caliber Home Loans branch in Vancouver, was recently named a top performer among Caliber’s retail channel and honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Lifetime Achievement Awards are bestowed upon Caliber’s top producers nationwide, signifying his exceptional production performance as well as dedication and commitment to Caliber Home Loans. He received the Lifetime Producers award for his excellent sales record and advanced achievements in loan production by both units and volume.
