The Hudson’s Bay girls basketball team jumped back into action like it was making up for lost time.

Having not played since Dec. 21, the Eagles rode a 25-point first quarter to a 57-26 win over Ridgefield on Tuesday.

“We were just on fire,” Hudson’s Bay coach Michael Rainville said. “We were getting contributions from multiple people.”

Seven Bay players scored in the first half, which ended with the Eagles leading 40-9.

Mahaila Harrison and Aniyah Hampton each finished with 17 points for Hudson’s Bay, which was supposed to play in a holiday tournament in Snohomish that was canceled.

Hudson’s Bay improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the 2A Greater St. Helens League.

Kelli Krsul had nine points for Ridgefield, which fell to 2-4, 1-3.

FORT VANCOUVER 57, EVERGREEN 22 — Trian Clark scored 23 points to lead the Trappers to a decisive non-league home win.

April Cruz added nine points for Fort Vancouver (2-7), which hadn’t played since Dec. 18 largely due to the weather-related cancelation of the Clark County Holiday Invitational.

Tuesday’s win was Fort’s largest margin of victory since the 2006-07 season.

CAMAS 70, BATTLE GROUND 11 — Ava Smith scored 17 points as the Papermakers (7-4) opened 4A Greater St. Helens League play with a win.

UNION 73, EVERGREEN 48 — Yanni Fassillis scored 20 points, Josiah Baldassare added 18 points and the Titans rolled to a non-league road win.

Baldassare scored eight of his team’s 20 points in the third quarter as Union (7-3) extended a 37-22 halftime lead to 57-30.

Delo Doutrive scored 15 points to lead Evergreen (3-7).
