Letter: Support Ridgefield schools

By Tara Nathan, Ridgefield
Published: January 9, 2022, 6:00am

Ridgefield has a bond on next month’s ballot. As a community we have grown exponentially fast in recent years. With so much growth comes the need for additional schools. Our only way to get those buildings is to bond. The district can collect impact fees from developers but that can only legally account for a small percentage of a build. The state gives funds toward a new building only if we bond. We have the second-lowest rate for schools in the county. Please join me in continuing to make Ridgefield a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
