Letter: Local leadership in good hands

As the former (and “original”) executive director of Identity Clark County, working with marvelous community-minded business and pubic leaders of yore, I sometimes wondered, “Where is the next generation of leadership?”

I wonder no more. Having just read the bios of those recognized as the Accomplished and Under 40 Class of 2021 (thank you Vancouver Business Journal), they are alive and thriving in Clark County/Southwest Washington, as are the classes that preceded them. May your passion for our community beat as deeply in your souls as did that of the movers and shakers of years past. You are our joy and our hope for the continuation of a thriving community that we envisioned and continue to hold in our dreams. Congratulations to you all.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
