Clark County Public Works will host a virtual open house on the proposed Northeast 179th Street project at 5 p.m. Jan. 27. Neighbors and community members can learn about activities associated with the reconstruction of two intersections.

The meeting will include two presentations: the first, from 5 to 5:55 p.m., is about the intersection of Northeast 179th Street and Northeast 29th Avenue. The second, from 6 to 7 p.m., is about the intersection of Northeast 179th Street and Northeast 50th Avenue. Community members are encouraged to email their questions prior to the presentations to 179thstreetproject@clark.wa.gov. Interpretation is available upon request.

Significant growth is expected in the area over the next 20 years. According to the county, that will require upgrades to these intersections to accommodate increasing traffic while maintaining safety and mobility.

The open house will be held on the WebEx online meeting platform. Residents can attend by entering meeting number: 2488 127 0786 and password: 2950 at WebEx.com or call 1-408-418-9333 and use the same meeting number and password.

More information can be found on the county’s website, https://clark.wa.gov/public-works/ne-179th-st-ne-29th-ave. Community members can also find information on the Public Works Twitter, Facebook and Instagram profiles, and on NextDoor.
