Letter: Work ethic is a thing of the past

Day in and day out we hear employees complaining that part-time work does not meet their needs. OK, I get it, so why would they not seek full-time work? It’s called a positive work ethic, which in today’s world is a thing of the past. Employees today blame their employers for not paying them enough of a part-time wage to support their triple-digit cable bill, their cellphone or their 60-inch flat-screen TV. I guess if I was in that column I would seek full-time employment or two part-time jobs to equal a full workweek. My parents and grandparents always said they worked hard for their money. Why not you?
