Letter: Enforce fireworks laws

By Ruthann Mogen, Vancouver

I read the report today that hundreds of fireworks complaints were lodged in the city of Vancouver, but the fire marshal decided to tell the lawbreakers “Shame on you” instead of issuing any tickets or fines.

The Vancouver City Council voted to ban fireworks in the city. Who gave the fire marshal permission to counter the law/ban and allow the lawbreakers to have a great time and fire away? This year it was called “education” and no tickets or fines were issued.

My dog and I are pretty angry. This neighborhood was a war zone!
