The driver of a pickup was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle, rollover crash in Hazel Dell.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies and personnel from Clark County Fire District 6 and AMR responded at about 9:55 p.m. for a report of an injury crash in the 3900 block of Northeast 78th Street.

The 911 caller said a truck left the roadway and rolled before landing on its top off, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Arriving units found a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado upside down on the north side of 78th Street. The preliminary investigation found that the pickup likely struck the center median curb before leaving the roadway, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver and sole occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity was not released pending next of kin notification.

The sheriff’s office traffic unit is investigating.
