The C-Tran board of directors approved a 7 percent salary increase for CEO Shawn Donaghy, bringing his annual pay from $202,260 to $216,418.

His raise also included a $5,500 increase to his differed compensation plan and an additional week of vacation.

Donaghy joined C-Tran in 2017 and has more than 20 years in the transportation industry. He helped coordinate some of the city’s bus rapid transit systems, including the upcoming Vine buses on Mill Plain Boulevard.

“Shawn has done a stellar job understanding and communicating the board’s positions in general and also specifically with the IBR project,” according to a report on his performance.

Anne McEnerny-Ogle said that Donaghy’s expertise will be needed to help with the Interstate 5 Bridge plan coming to Vancouver.

“When light rail comes into Clark County when that bridge is built, we’re going to need your help in building a transit district in downtown Vancouver with all five (bus rapid transits) with all the buses, shuttle busses, with all of the tools that we have, with the express buses coming though so that we can show this community how to move within and outside Clark County and across the river and everything else.”
