Letter: Support Steinke for utility

Amazon, FedEx, Walmart want electric trucks, manufacturers rush to make them. Why? Because reality is undeniable: climate action must happen, and the market recognizes this fact.

Clark County can lead, not fall behind or be mired in false choices. We need our Clark Public Utilities to craft a plan for those coming vehicles.

Reason, common sense, and yes, law, require all generating capacity be nonpolluting. What to do?

I support Don Steinke for Clark Public Utilities. We need to be ready for the new economy, benefiting all. Don is qualified, knowledgeable, and a local treasure for the greater good.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
