Raptors Road Trip: Ridgefield wins second game at Springfield, 9-4

A four-run fourth inning brought the Ridgefield Raptors back from a 3-1 deficit on their way to a 9-4 West Coast League victory over the Springfield Drifters on Saturday night at Springfield, Ore. It was the Raptors third consecutive win.

KEY MOMENTS: Two bases-loaded walks, a hit batter with the bases loaded and an RBI single by Isaac Lovings brought the Raptors back from their early deficit. … Run-scoring singles by Jacob Sharp, Doyle Kane and Henry Muench helped pad the lead in the Raptors’ three-run sixth inning. … Five Springfield pitchers combined for eight walks, three with the bases loaded.

KEY PLAYERS: Raptors leadoff hitter Jack Tsukada knocked in the first run in the third inning and was 1 for 2 with two RBI and three walks. … Safea Villaruz-Mauai and Doyle Kane were each 2 for 4. … Muench and Lovings each had two RBI. … Aiden Vestbie (2-1, 6.54 ERA) picked up the win in relief. The Embry-Riddle sophomore from Reno threw four scoreless innings without a hit, striking out four and walking two.
