Vancouver Rotary Foundation awards scholarships to 31 students

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Rotary Foundation has awarded a record $151,000 in college scholarships ranging in value from $3,000 to $8,000 to 31 Southwest Washington high school and college students.

In 49 years, the foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, has awarded more than $1.9 million in scholarships to local students. Many of the scholarships are made possible through endowments established by individuals and fundraising by Rotary Club members.

The 2022 scholarship winners are Arlet Diaz, Cali Shively, Mya Anson, Lillian Swenson, Tina Starks, Kate Glover, Gisselle Ruiz, Lyndsey Roberts, Laura Pelayo, Steven Selix, Trevor Bosman, Ellie Stewart, Daniel Castaneda, Benz Brawley, Sophia LeBard, Stephanie Do, Elaine Muodzi, Ilona Shevliakov, Mallory Cowl, Jonathan Hamel, Zhehua (Amy) Xu, Gracie Layher, Michael Helde, Delaney Newell, Eric Albios, Caitlin Mitchell, Sophia Le, Makena Campbell, Elena Clinton, Riley Shirley and Jordan Rehfeldt.
