I believe that the public should be made aware of who the lobbyists and companies they work for that encouraged a congressperson to vote the way they did. It is very important for the public to get our votes right, and if we knew how he or she decided on an issue we then could decide if it was a good or bad vote.
It’s not too bad in our own state but when they as representatives get to D.C., it’s a whole different game. Our 3rd District representative has sure voted in such a way that it would be nice to know who her lobbyists were and what ax they had to grind. If they were aware that the public would know who they are, they might have second thoughts.
