Beginning Monday, a 0.6-mile stretch of Northeast Davis Road will be closed while crews replace the Davis Bridge. The road closure will be east of Ward Road and south of Hockinson.

Detour signs will be posted and a map of the detour route is available on the project website.

Davis Bridge is a single-span, concrete girder bridge that was found to be structurally deficient due to scouring of the material under the west abutment. The closure will allow Clark County’s contractor to remove the existing bridge and replace it with a new structure.

The total cost of construction is estimated at $1.52 million, with $816,000 coming from county road funds and $705,000 from real estate excise tax funds.

Construction is expected to be completed by mid-November, weather permitting. More information can be found at https://clark.wa.gov/public-works/davis-bridge.
