Letter: Pro-life or not?

By Laura Schnieder, VANCOUVER

An appeal to those who describe themselves as being “pro-life.” If you believe that in the United States:

  • Our current gun ownership laws are sufficient;
  • Roe v. Wade should be overturned by the Supreme Court;
  • “Don’t Say Gay” is a good idea;
  • Racism does not exist;
  • Homelessness is a choice;
  • Mental illness is a sign of weakness.

If you believe any or all of these statements, please stop calling yourself “pro-life,” because you certainly are not.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
