Raptors Road Trip: Ridgefield wins second game of series at Nanaimo, 17-5

The Ridgefield Raptors broke open a 3-3 game with a four-run fifth inning and won the second game of the three-game West Coast League series at Nanaimo, B.C., 17-5 on Saturday night.

KEY MOMENTS: With two outs in the fifth inning, the Raptors received four bases-loaded walks and took the lead for good at 8-3. … A total of 14 walks were issued to the Raptors. … Ridgefield also had a four-run seventh and a four-run ninth.

KEY PLAYERS: Isaac Lovings (Pacific Univ.), Will Chambers (Dixie State), and Riley McCarthy (Portland / Mountain View HS) each hit home runs. … Lovings was 2 for 4 with his first homer of the season, a double, two RBI and four runs scored. … Chambers hit his third home of the season and scored four runs. … McCarthy was 2 for 4 with his first homer of the summer and had four RBI. … Safea Villaruz-Mauai went 2 for 4 with three RBI and scored two runs.
